As part of its weekend program of music and dance, Shilparamam is presenting an Andhra Natyam recital by K Venkateswarlu, on 23rd March. Venkateswarlu will start the recital with a Pushpanjali, which will be followed by Vinayaka Koutvam, Shiva Kaivaram, Dashavataras, Annamacharya's Muddugare Yashoda and Adigo Alladivo. The orchestra will be provided by Venugopala Sarma with the nattuvangam and vocal, B Balarama Murthy on the mridangam and Dhulipala Srinivasa Sarma on the violin.
Kalluri Venkateswarlu is a dance teacher at the Bal Bhavan, Nalgonda. He learned Andhra Natyam initially from his mother Saidavati for 2 years, and thereafter from Dr. Nataraja Ramakrishna for 6 years. He is currently learning Kalapam from Kala Krishna. He has done his diploma in Andhra Natyam from the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad.
Venkateswarlu has performed for the ICCR in Delhi, and at the AICC Plenary and the Military World Games in Hyderabad. He also teaches Andhra Natyam at his home from 6am to 8am.
