Zur Rettung Der Popkultur - Screening Of Experimental Music Videos: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR ZUR RETTUNG DER POPKULTUR...

Zur Rettung Der Popkultur, which means "saving pop culture", is an effort by DJ Prashant Pallemoni to present experimental music videos, on 9th October at Anonym. The show will begin at 6pm.

The event is being organized by Goethe Zentrum to promote experimental music, and to explain the influence of German music on popular culture. DJ Prashant will play music videos of some artists - both professional and amateur - of Germany, including Mouse On Mars (electronic music), Sesorama, Telefon Telaviv and Computer Jockey. The music is drawn from the period 1998 to 2007, and the session will reflect the evolution of music culture.

Prashant started deejaying in 1998. He studied sound engineering from UK, and is associated with a popular music label Rainy City Music, for whom he produces experimental music. He worked as a DJ for Pmatka in Hyderabad.

Prashant was also a representative of the Goethe Zentrum, Hyderabad, at the COPop Music Festival in Germany, last year. At present, he freelances, aiming to make experimental music known throughout India.
