Did you know that India exported more dry flowers than fresh ones? Big deal, you say, they're going to be dry by the time they make it, anyway! Well, perhaps. But what we don't get is, who wants them, and why? Here's where you get answers, and maybe some business opportunities, too.
Dried flowers have emerged as a rapidly growing sector of floriculture with excellent prospects for commercialization. Like we said, India exports more dried flowers than fresh ones. To popularize techniques, to showcase opportunities and to also demonstrate how to convert agricultural waste to wealth, the Department of Horticulture, the NHB & the APEDA are organizing a workshop-cum-exhibition on dried flowers from the 18th to the 20th of March at the Jubilee Hall, Public Gardens. This is the schedule:
Exhibition: 18th-20th March
Workshop: 19th-20th March
