What do you call a place where everybody wants to be king? Hint: it starts with "P", ends with "t", and is spelt P-a-r-l-i-a-m-e-n-t. Watch these kids enact the age old struggle for power, today.
As part of its 2nd anniversary celebrations, Saptaparini plans to stage a children's play based on a Manipuri folktale entitled "Who will be the Ningthou?" This play will be showcased by children in the age group of 7 to 12 years.
The play is a short and simple version of tale wherein the people of a village are trying to choose the best ruler or Ningthou, a person who would not only have to be strong and fearless but also have the ability to feel for everything from a human being to a tree. The problems start when everybody from the village exhibits his willingness and skill to be the next Ningthou.
Saptaparini has been doing a lot to bring out the hidden talent in children. It conducts regular workshops for awakening the slackened aptness in kids. The anniversary celebrations are focusing even more on motivating kids.
Entry is through invitations only. To collect your invite, please call Sunita on 5566-7707, 5582-1789.
