The 18th century maestro of carnatic music, Saint Thyagaraja's, Pancharatnas (five jewel songs) are resurrected by vocalist Duddu Radhika. She will recite the srirangam pancharatna keerthanas. Sangeeta Ksheerasagara has organized this evening's recital.
These five kritis were composed by Thyagaraja for Lord Ranganatha of Srirangam. It was on a pilgrimage to Srirangam, that the bard, sang these keerthanas.
