The 18th century genius of Carnatic music, Saint Thyagaraja's, Pancharatnas (five jewel songs) are resurrected by vocalist Neeta Chandarsekhar. She will recite the lalgudi pancharatna keerthanas. Legend states, Thyagaraja had created these kritis in Lalgudi, a pilgrimage spot.
The recital has been organized by Sangeeta Ksheerasagara. It will be an evening of lyrical splendour as Thyagaraja's brilliant compositions are sung in Neeta's sonorous voice.
