The Hyderabad Music Circle is organizing a vocal recital by Anil Chitrapu, at Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika, the mini hall of Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha, on 14th July. Chitrapu will be accompanied by Peri Thyagaraju on the violin and Ch Ramakrishna on the mridangam.
Anil Chitrapu, just 13, hails from Andhra Pradesh, but is currently settled in Philadelphia, USA. He is the disciple of D Sheshachari, one half of the famed Hyderabad Brothers. He has given around 4-5 performances in the state, and has also performed for Doordarshan. He has given numerous performances at Philadelphia.
The Hyderabad Music circle is one of the pioneering cultural organizations in the city. Rama Prabha is its co-ordinator, and D Sheshachari its advisor. It organizes a program on the second Saturday of every month, at the same venue.
