The 159th anniversary of the mukthi of the brilliant saint and composer Thyagaraja is here, and it is time for large-scale, yet beautifully synchronised festivities, and the rendition of his krithis that are the hallmark of this day.
The most breathtaking tradition of all - the rendition of the pancharatna kritis in unison by bhagavatas and musicians around the city, will be led by the Hyderabad Brothers. Jagadanandakaraka in Natai, Dudughugala in Gowlai, Sadhinchane in Raga Aarabhi, Kanakanaruchira in Varali Raaga, Yendaromahanubhavule in Sri Raaga will be sing by the hundreds of musicians expected to be present at Keyes High School. This will be followed by lunch for all.
