Rasaranjani is organizing the play The Minister, directed by Krishna Chaitanya. Written by D Vijaya Bhaskar, The Minister is based on the contemporary political situation of the country.
The central character is an ethical and sincere politician, who refuses to make compromises. The play brings out the fact that an honest minister, alone, can do a lot for his people, even in the face of intense resistance from his family and society.
His continuous struggle for justice culminates into excessive stress for him, until he can no longer resist, and, ultimately, succumbs to corruption.
Writer D Vijaya Bhaskar has worked as a Deputy Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad. At present, he is Secretary to the Minister For Municipal Administration. Director Krishna Chaitanya is from Vizag.
