It is 1803, on the coast of Cornwall. Kid, a fifteen year old boy manages to escape from a cruel orphanage where he has been living a slave's existence. He doesn't know his real name, and the only thing he possesses is a treasure map fallen from a book about Black Mor, a famour pirate that Kid would like to emulate. Accompanied by two seadogs, MacGregor and Beanpole, Kid gains possession of a Coast Guard cutter and takes off in search of the island with its treasure, on the other side of the Atlantic ocean. But things don't always happen the way they do in pirate stories...In the search for his identity, Kid is more fragile than he appears, and many adventures are in store for him before he can reach the Island Of Black Mor.
