A long time ago, a Russian general sacrificed the birds to burn Moscow and save his country that had been invaded by Napoleon. He became a national hero. The general, now retired, lives in St. Petersburg, where he is attacked every day by the birds there.
By chance, he crosses paths with an extraordinary dog, and the two of them proceed to wage a delicate battle. One day, all of the city's dogs leave their owners in order to obtain the liberation of all caged brids. The general intervenes in what will be his most noble struggle.
