On the occasion of the 7th Krishnakriti Annual Festival Of Art & Culture from 7th to 11th January, Kalakriti Art Gallery is presenting a talk and slide show by Seema Kohli on 8th January at the Kalakriti Art Gallery.
Seema Kohli is a self-taught artist who learnt painting in Triveni Kala Sangam under the eminent artist Rameshwar Broota. Her solo shows were held at various art galleries in India such as Mahua Art Gallery, Bangalore; Gallery Space, Hyderabad; Anayas Art Gallery, New Delhi; Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi; Pink Ginger Art Gallery, Mumbai; Gabaron Museum, Vallodalid, Spain; The Shore Institute of The Contemporary Arts, New Jersey; ISU Art Gallery, Singapore; and SW 1 Gallery, London.
The Krishnakriti Art And Culture Festival is organised every year by the Lahoti Foundation, which was established by artist Prashant Lahoti in memory of his father Krishnachandra B Lahoti. On this occasion, art camps are organised by eminent artists, and the works are auctioned off at the end of the festival. The proceeds from the sales go to The Krishnachandra B Lahoti Scholarship, which sponsors holistic education for deserving and needy students.
