Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad is organising a talk by Ashok Kumar, on 16th November, at the association's office premises in Hermitage Complex, Hillfort Road, Opp. A P Legislative Assembly.
The talk focuses on the rich biodiversity of Andhra Pradesh. Encompassing the faunal and floral diversity, it aims at creating awareness among the people about our vanishing wildlife, and the need and necessity for their protection and conservation for our posterity.
Ashok Kumar is an avid birdwatcher and nature lover. He is an authorized representative of the Bombay Natural History Society at Hyderabad, which is actively engaged in the habitat protection of the rarest bird Jerdon's Courser in our state. He is also associated with the Worldwide Fund for Nature as an Honorary Editor of its newsletter 'The Tiger Mail'. At present, he is a member of the State Wildlife Board, and also co-opted member of the State Biodiversity Board.
