JDC Sewa Hyderabad is presenting Taare Zameen Par, a laughter and musical show by Ehsaan Qureshi and Sameer, on 24th May, at the Lalitha Kala Thoranam. The show is being organised on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of Dedh Matwale, the internationally famed comic duo of Hamid Kamaal and Subhani.
The evening starts with a comedy session by Ehsaan Qureshi. Qureshi is from Sewan, Madhya Pradesh, and has risen to fame with Star One's The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, where he reached the finals. He had won the hearts of the judges and audience alike. After that, he has performed all over the country, and also abroad.
Sameer, the 13-year-old singer from Mumbai, will take over from Ehsaan Qureshi, and will sing some Bollywood songs. Sameer Mohammed is the 2nd runner-up of Zee TV's Saregamapa Li'l Champs music program for 2006. The evening ends with some comedy skits by Hamid Kamaal and Subhani.
Widely known as Dedh Matwale because of their opposite heights, Subhani and Kamaal have been friends since they were in school. Established artistes in their own right, the duo auditioned for Star One's The Great Indian Laughter Challenge show in Hyderabad and got selected to take part in the program in Mumbai. Together, they performed in America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and also worked in some films such as Lajja, Pyar Diwana Hota Hai and Hello Hyderabad.
