Ragajhari, a cultural association, is conducting an R D Burman musical nite at the Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha located in Chikkadpally, on 24th May. Singers Krishna, Shyamili, Sindhuja, Arun Kumar, Padmini and Sasi Kiran will sing popular songs of Panchamda, and in addition, Ragajhari will also felicitate Giri, the producer of the program Malli Malli Padali Ee Paata aired on Doordarshan. The special invitees of the evening are Giri and Sundari Janaki Raman, a renown Carnatic vocalist. The show will start at 6pm and last till 9pm.
Ragajhari was found 9 years ago by Vijayalaskhmi. Though she is not an artist or singer, her interest towards the arts made her start an organisation dedicated to those. Ragajhari has organized many programs, and has also released some devotional albums.
