REVIEW FOR SUTRADHAR STAGES SHORT PLAYS

While actor Balakrishna vows to give the performance of his life before the media, the police and the magistrate, Sutradhar has a slightly different target audience but the same intent!

Sutradhar puts up two short plays called The phoenix and Teen Apahij at the Telugu University. The Phoenix is an English language play based on the story of Abhijit Sircar and fits the sci-fi genre that envisions a post-nuclear-holocaust scenario. Bipin Agarwal's Teen Apahij lashes out at the 'the government has to look after me' attitude that the youth seems to have.

These plays are the culmination of Pratibimb 2004, the 8 week long workshop that Sutradhar had organised. And the entire production has been seen to completion by the participants of the workshop.
