Sunday morning probably begins at noon for you, after a hard week's work or a late night party. And most probably, it starts off ravenous. Simply make your way to the Deccan Pavilion at ITC, where there's a brunch waiting for you, from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. A wallet is mandatory, and if you don't have one, we hope you have a sponsor.
The brunch trend came from across the Atlantic in the early 2000s. First considered a copious working breakfast, making it possible to save on one daily meal, brunch soon caught on in Paris as a festive time for couples, and gradually, the whole world took a fancy to it.
The spread includes a wide range of foods, ranging from Au Bleu to Biencuit, and special fresh fruit cocktails too. You could try the most traditional dishes from several places across the world, and experiment with some bizarre combinations, because you know that you aren't being judged today. The menu includes Involtini With Smoked Chicken, Gnochetti With Pesto, Whole Roast (duck/chicken), Indian food (Biryani, Kebabs, Dal Makhni, Butter Naan, Paratha) and Oriental (Noodles, Rice, Stir Fries). You could wash it all down with wines, whisky, sparkling wine and beer.
There are also exotic flavours of ice creams and toppings to make your ?Sundae Et Sunday? a truly memorable one. ITC's new chef Patissier will whip up some warm and delicious waffle cones, not to mention a tantalizing Buffet Des Enfants (or quite simply, the Kids' Buffet).
As you sip into a Pomegranate Martini and take a bite of that perfectly grilled morsel, your children are thoroughly entertained by a host of artists, a funny joker (not the one who features with Batman), an intriguing and chic magician dressed better than Clarke Gable of ?Gone With The Wind,? and a versatile artist who the Da Vincis and Van Goghs of the world would nod in appreciation at.
The kids' buffet consists of Mini Chicken Burgers, Mini Cheese Pizzas, Hot Dogs, Strawberry Tartlets, Chocolate Mud Cake Slices, Assorted Choux Pastries, Kaju Katlis, Assorted Candies & Jellies, and a Live Station of Waffle Cones With Ice-cream.
The brunch is priced at Rs. 1,500 plus taxes. Please contact 2340-0132 for further details.
