"Stop The Killing" is a 90 minute music show with songs centered on the theme. The show features not just songs but also stories about the songs and their relevance to the theme.
The Theme:
These are dark times. Our planet is being scarred by war, conflict, genocide, terrorism, devastation, environmental depredation and violence that show no signs of abating. Man's inhumanity to man seems to have reached one of its lowest points with women and children - even infants - finding themselves caught in the crossfire.
As the horrific casualties mount with each passing day, this show is a cry from the heart, evoking the inherent emotional power of music and songs to raise our voices in protest and to create awareness about the urgent need to "Stop The Killing!"
In spite of its sombre theme and dark backdrop, there is nothing depressing or defeatist about the show. On the contrary, it is all about hope and positive action. In its essence, this show is a musical prayer for change.
