Suswara Arts Academy has been around for ten years now, and has been involved in various cultural programs. Sri Manikanta Charitam is a play written by Prakash Rao, and is being staged for the first time. It is based on the story of Ayyappa Swami. This play is being directed by Mr B Sriraju, who also plays the role of Shiva.
Prakash Rao, the playwright himself, plays the role of Manikanta. Others in the cast are K Gayatri as Mohini, Lakshminaryana as Agastya, Jayalakshmi, Rajkumar, G Venkatachary, Srinivas, N V V Satyanarayana and others. The music is by K V Krishna Rao and K Jayalakshmi.
