Kolkata-based artist is organising an exhibition of his latest paintings from 17th April to 1st May, at Gallery Space.
Sumanto Chowdhury's solo exhibition revolves around the portrayal of women power, and is based on folk tales that the artist heard as a kid. Animals, like monkeys and buffaloes, are added in order to exemplify his point of view; and the Kali and Durga to in order to portray the power of women.
Sumanto is a graduate in Painting from the Ravindra Bharathi University. An upcoming artist, his works have been exhibited at various art galleries in Kolkata. This is the first time he is exhibiting in Hyderabad.
