Shyam Raj & DJ Tushqa At Ahala

Hang out with the master of melodies. Taj Krishna is presenting Shyam Raaj, the prince of Indian saxophone, tonite at Ahala - The Drama Lounge of the hotel. DJ Tushqa from Mumbai will be among the audience, and will dish out some Funk and Balearic House with some lashings of Techno, to add further spice to the salan.

Sham Raaj is one of India's leading saxophone artists. He is quite sought after by singers for their music videos, and by music directors including A R Rehman and Ilayaraja. He has rendered music for films like Bobby, Mr India, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Gupt, Taal and Hey Ram, to name a few. In addition, he's done ad jingles for Philips and Lifebuoy.

He has also performed for music videos for Pankaj Udhas and Sonu Nigam. His mentor is Manohari Singh ("Aajaa Aajaa" - Teesri Manzil; "Hai Duniya Usi Ki" - Kashmir Ki Kali), who is also universally acclaimed as the best Indian saxophone player in the film industry today.
