If you thought that Surrealism stands for surely real, you got to be there at this workshop.
The Alliance Francaise De Hyderabad and the Diara Art Gallery, are jointly conducting a work-shop on lives and works of french scholars. The scholars choosen for this workshop are Rene Clare and Couli Beuf.
Rene Clare, is an early exponent of french film and, is known for his stylish wit and criticism of hollywood cinema. His movie Anous Laliberte is considered to have influenced Charlie Chaplin's movie, Modern Times. This movie is being screened at this work-shop.
Couli Beuf is a doctorate in letters in French literature and, later adapted to cinema in 1987, is famous for his documentaries. Screening of a documentary, The Warriors Of Beauty, by Couli Beuf and The Encarte, by Rene Clare followed by a discussion of these two movies is what one can expect in this work-shop.
