If men like him were more common, film-music directors would get paid a lot less for the songs they so regularly plagiarise. Not only is our man throroughly original, he composes his songs at a rate that sets a new record in frequency, right after the humming bird when it comes to the awe-factor.
The deal is this. Six talented poets will ask questions of Dr. Saikrishna Yechendra, while specifying a raaga of their choice as well. This ex. MLA and film-producer will instantly compose lyrics, the pallavi, charanam and taanam of a song, in the raaga indicated.
If that is not enough to enthrall the audience, Mr. Satyanarayana, who will also be present on the stage, will draw a picture representing the song theme, as Dr. Sai Krishna sings it. This engaging Sangeeta Geyadhara will begin at 1800 at Indira Priyadarshini on the 28th of March. It is being organised by Rasamayee.
