On the occasion of the 86th birth aniversary of the legendary music director of Telugu cinema late Saluri Rajeshwara Rao, Rasamayi is felicitating Dr. C Narayana Reddy with the Saluri Rajeshwara Rao Memorial Award, on 18th October, at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha.
On this occasion, a musical nite on songs both written by Dr. C Narayana Reddy and with music composed by Saluri Rajeshwara Rao, will be organised by playback singers Neehal, Saratchandra, K Ramachary and Malavika, with some hit vintage numbers such as Kila Kila Navvula from Chaduvukunna Ammayilu, Yedo Yedo Yedopulakintha, Ee Nallani Rallalo and Nagumomu Chupinchava from Amara Silpi Jakkana, and Uyalaluginadoyi from Bobbili Yuddham performed.
The guests for tonite's award function are Dr. P Madhusudan Rao, Director of Doordarshan; Dr. P S Gopalakrishna, Station Director, All-India Radio; Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner and Padmabhushan Dr. Akkineni Nageshwara Rao; Ghazal Srinivas, Telugu ghazal singer; and Koti and Vasurao, sons of Saluri Rajeshwara Rao and music directors.
