On the occasion of the Durga Navratris, the Sringeri Shankar Math at Motinagar is presenting a Carnatic vocal recital by P V Subba Rao, on 18th September. Pavan Singh on the violin and Gunanjan on the mridangam will provide the instrumental support. Subba Rao will be singing some Devi keertanas and slokas.
Pinnamraju Venkata Subba Rao is B-grade artiste of the All-India Radio, and has done his B A in music from Tirupati Music College and M A in music from the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad. He is a disciple of D Pasumarti, and has performed at Chennai and at all major temples of Andhra Pradesh.
Currently, Rao is devoted fulltime to music, and teaches more than 100 students, both at his institution Sujana Ranjani and also through home tuitions. He has a singing experience of more than 20 years.
