Watching abstract art is like reading a personal diary, and you'll appreciate it only when you're clued in to the maker's world. Maruthi Paila's feelings and thoughts are up for your perusal at the solo show titled 'Journey Through Colors' at Gallery Space, from 11th to 19th September. The exhibition is on from 11am to 7pm everyday.
About 40 paintings by Paila are on display at the exhibition. The paintings are in abstract form, and several of them are made with acrylics on canvas. They reflect the thoughts of the artist, with a vibrant use of colors.
Paila was born in October 1974, and did his Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts (BFA) from JNTU. He then majored in Drawing Teacher Training (1997) and Painting (1998-2002). His works were displayed at the 68th All India Art Exhibition, an exhibition of small format paintings and drawings by artists from all over India at The Hyderabad Art Society in 2009. His works have also been displayed at Sounds Of The Brush, a mega art show conducted by the gallery Hues in IRIS (Bangalore, 2008); and a group show in hotel Oberoi (Kolkata, 2008); and other exhibitions..
