Ruhaniyat, an All-India Sufi And Mystic Music Festival organised by Banyan Tree Events, is back for the 4th year, to mesmerise music-lovers of the city, this Saturday at Ravindra Bharathi. This Sufi festival is one of the biggest of its kind, and will be held in 6 cities till March 2009. Travelling all over the country, it comes to Hyderabad on 17th January.
Musicians from various parts of India, and from other countries, comprising of sufi qawwals, mystic musicians, Kabir panthis and Bauls, will enthral audiences with their performances, which include:
Sufi Kalam & Mystic Songs by Kachra Khan & Mamma Khan from Rajasthan
Baul songs by Parvathy Baul from West Bengal
Sufi Kalams & Mystic Shabads by Dev Dildaar from Punjab
Mystic Drums by drummers from Kerala
Sufi songs by Baran Music Ensemble from Iran
Sufi qawwali by Ghulam Sabir & Ghulam Waris (Nizami Brothers) from Delhi
