RR District Badminton Tournament: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR RR DISTRICT BADMINTON TOURNAMENT

The Ranga Reddy District Badminton Association is organising the Ranga Reddy District Badminton Championships, at the Saroornagar indoor stadium, from 16th to 18th July. Competitions will be held in both singles and doubles categories in the groups of midget (Under-10), mini (Under-13), sub-junior (Under-16), junior (Under-19), men and women (above 19) and veterans (above 45 years for men and above 35 for women). The registration fee is Rs. 100 for doubles and Rs. 50 for singles, per participant.

Prizes, to be decided by the sponsors, will be given to the winners, runners-up and third-placed players in each category. Participation certificates will also be given to all participants. The number of rounds will be decided on the basis of the number of final entries by the evening of 15th July. All the games will be in the knockout format.

The championship is being organised to select players to represent Hyderabad district in the State Midget Championships to be held in the East Godavari district from July 26th, the state men and women's championships to be held at Jagityal from 2nd to 5th August, the sub-junior championships to be held at Nandyal from 9th to 12th August, and the junior championships to be held at BHEL on a date to be announced.
