When a mother and her daughter reunite 50 years later, one of them has to make a big sacrifice to save the other. It should be obvious who - some relations are the same in Hungary too.
The Hyderabad Film Club, in association with the Hungarian Information & Cultural Centre, New Delhi, is organising the Hungarian Film Festival, at the Prasad Labs Preview Theatre, from 19th to 22nd April. 6 Hungarian movies will be screened during this period.
Today the fourth and last day, Rendezvous, by Agnes Incze, will be the second film to be screened, at 7:30pm. The film has Pap Vera, Szamosi Zsofi, Danis Lidia and Zrinyi Gai Vince playing the central characters.
The first scene of this film, which takes place in the present, eventually takes us back to the fifties, when in a hospital, a terminally ill young woman, Iren, is saying goodbye to her child Rozsika.
Fifty years later, the then orphaned child is a homeless old woman who inherited her mother
