These nine artists are each distinguished by over 25 years of theater experience; acting, producing and directing engrossing and intelligent plays. Rasamayee felicitates them with Rasamayi Rangasthanam Puraskara on the occasion of World Theater Day. This assortment of theater talent comes from all over India - whether Delhi, Bhilaspur or Guntoor. And they will be honoured by none other than Dr. Akkineni Nageshwara Rao. This promises to be a big occasion.
A playlet called Midhunam Natika by a Kakinada theater group will entertain the audiences before the awards ceremony. The names of the artists who have been selected are Mr. Beeram Mastan Rao ( Remember NTR starrer Simhasanam that he directed? Well, he is an established theater personality too), Gummadi Gopal Krishnan, Mrs. Saroja, Prasada Murthy, Ganpisetty Venkateshwara Rao, N S K Rao, L R Rao, D C Krishna and P R K Verma.
