Yuvakalavahini was founded by Y K Nageshwar Rao 25 years back, and since then this cultural organization has been hosting a number of cultural programs and other events at various cultural venues in the city. Y K Nageshwar Rao, himself a stage artist, is striving hard to educate people about the importance of art. His organization has managed to organize a variety of cultural events in the city, which have won him accolades.
The Telugu film industry has praised the late K V Reddy as one of its greatest directors. In fact, the late N T Rama Rao rose to stardom with the help of K V Reddy's movie, Sri Krishna Satya. And this year, the coveted K V Reddy's Best Director Award function, being organized by Yuva Kala Vahini, will see the award given away to V B Rajendra Prasad, a veteran director and producer who has directed a good number of movies that are memorable and appreciated by the masses.
Some of the good movies produced by Rajendra Prasad are Dasara Bullodu, Bangaru Babu, Andaru Dongale, Manchi Manushulu, Bangaaru Bommalu, Pichchi Maaraju, Muddala Koduku and Annapurna. And some of the value-based movies presented K V Reddy are Peddamanushulu, Yogi Vemana, Paatala Bhairavi, Jagadeka Sundari Katha, and Donga Ramudu.
Pratibha will take the stage, following the award function, for a dance recital. The chief guests for the event will be U V Krishnam Raju (Minister for External Affairs), N Siva Prasad (Cultural Affairs and Information Minister), veteran actor Akkineni Nageshwar Rao, C Narayana Reddy, Soundarya, 'Shahukaar' Janaki, and Jagapathi Babu.
