The Raahgiriday Art Camp is being conducted by the Telangana Transport Department in association with Hydourite Foundation, is an initiative to spread Road Safety awareness among people and to sensitize people about safety measures to be followed on the roads for safe and happy driving. The Art Camp will be spread across 4 Sundays starting from 8th February 2015 and the common theme will be "Road Safety".
Each Art Camp will be divided into 2 sections - Artists and Students. The Artists Art Camp will have entries both from Professional and Amateur artists. Each artist will be provided with a 3 feet X 3 feet canvas and the required colours. The artists will paint creative paintings on the topic of "Road Safety" using their creative outlook. These paintings will bring out various aspects of Road Safety and will help spread the message easily in a visually appealing format. At the end of the 4 Sundays, three winners each will be selected from among the Professional and Amateur artists, and prizes will be given away to them.
The Students Art Camp will have students drawing and colouring on plain sheets provided to them. The students will use their imagination to depict what they feel about Road Safety. This will not only create awareness in these young impressionable minds but also let the viewers learn from the innovative creativity of these young minds. Every week, three top drawings will be selected and prizes given to these winners. All participating students will be given a participation certificate and a gift.
