About The Artist: Sathyaprasad Yachendra
Born at Venkatagiri and living in Hyderabad, Satyaprasad Yachendra was introduced to photography as a child. His passion for photography blossomed way back in 2004 when he visited Manasa Sarovar and Mount Kailas. The splendour and the magnificence of the Himalayas have since then captivated his soul through his lens and inflicted him with the shutterbug. Even today, after 10 years and uncountable trips to the great ranges, capturing their mysticism and serenity continues to be his primary passion. The mountain light continues to enthral and inspire him. He conducted his first solo exhibition in 2005, followed by another solo in 2007 on the Himalayas, apart from several group shows across India. His photographs have been published and featured in several magazines, including Better photography and Smart Photography, and he has appeared in several newspaper interviews as well as on radio stations and television.
