Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Government of Andhra Pradesh, in collaboration with Natya Tarangini Raja and Radha Reddy Institute of Kuchipudi Dance, is presenting "Parampara Series 2011: Shreyasi - International Dance Festival" from 16th to 20th February at the Shilpakala Vedika in Madhapur and Global Peace Auditorium, Gachibowli. The 5-day festival features 5 international dance groups from countries such as the USA, Spain, Turkey, Russia and India, as given below:
16th February - Moscow Classical Ballet By N Kataskina & V Vasilyov from Russia
17th February - Jose Porcel & Flamenco Dance from Spain
18th February - Kuchipudi Dance By Dr. Raja Radha Reddy & Disciples
19th February - Istanbul Dance Ensemble, Dervish Dance from Turkey
20th February - Paul Taylor 2, Contemporary Dance from USA
Natya Tarangini has been annually organizing national music and dance festivals titled Parampara for the last 10 years in Delhi. Today, Natya Tarangini's name has become synonymous with this overwhelmingly successful festival series. In the past, the festival has featured celebrated artistes like Amjad Ali Khan, Mallika Sarabhai, Shobana, Vyjayantimala Bali, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and Deepak Maharaj.
Natya Tarangini was established by Padma Bhushans Raja and Radha Reddy, and Kaushalya Reddy in 1967 with the aim of propagating the rich Indian heritage of music and dance. In the true guru-sishya parampara, hundreds of girls and boys, men and women from all over the world with creative inclinations are moulded here into fine dancers through a systematized syllabus.
