3 fiercely independent women, the big city, and a whole emotional universe. Head here for some deep head-scratching.
Rangadhara, in association with Sutradhar, is presenting RangSutra, a festival of theatre and arts, from 13th to 16th January, at the National Institute Of Fashion Technology auditorium, Madhapur.
Sutradhar is presenting Mahesh Elkunchwar's play in Hindi, "Sonata", on the last day of the festival, the 16th of January, at 7:30pm. The play has been directed by Prof. Bhaskar Shewalkar.
The story happens on a Sunday evening in the lives of 3 former college friends - fiercely independent and single-by-choice women. Sonata articulates their relationships, ideals, aims, psychology and sexuality, and the love and bonding the 3 share despite all their differences.
It also explores loneliness in a big city, the women's need to return to their hometown, and the way they cling to each other for companionship.
