Potenzia 09 - Technical Fest At MGIT: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR POTENZIA 09 - TECHNICAL...

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology, for the past 2 years, has been organizing a National Level Technical Symposium, Potenzia - '09, in coordination with IEEE, ISTE and EETA (Electrical Engineers Technical Association).

Apart from paper presentation and model presentation, Potenzia '09 boasts of the following line-up of activities:

Robotix

Line Follower, Robo wrestling and Robo F1 are the events that make up this bot-design section.

Quiz

Both general and technical knowledge will be tested. Teams which qualify the written round will be allowed to participate in the finals.

F'anda'mentals

Each participant will be given an egg, and it is to be thrown down from a 2-storey height (approximately 40 feet). The egg should be prevented from breaking using contraptions like papers, balloons and cushions. The competition will be judged based on the time of travel of the egg and also the combined weight of the egg and the contraption.

Technical Pictionary

This is a slight variant of the usual pictionary, where one member of the team will be given a technical word and his team mate will have to guess the word based on the drawings of his team mate portraying the word.

Collage

The topic given must presented using pictures or matter cut from the newspapers provided, and pasted on a chart paper.

Circuit Debugging

This is the right place for you to prove yourself, if you are a perfect techie. As the name suggests, you will be given a faulty circuit and you need to debug the faults and draw a faultless circuit.
