NTPC Electron Quiz - 2008: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR NTPC ELECTRON QUIZ -...

NTPC is organizing the Electron Quiz - 2008, for the southern region, on 8th December 2008 at 4:00pm at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan.

NTPC has been organizing the quiz for the past 4 years. The Electron Quiz has become popular among leading business management and engineering institutes across the Country. It is conducted at 2 levels, the regional level, and the national level at New Delhi.

The subject areas are broadly from the world of corporate business, current affairs, general knowledge, films and entertainment, and sports. The southern region event is open to students from engineering institutes and B-schools from all over south India. Teams will have to be sponsored by institutions only, and each college can sponsor 2 teams for the regional level event. Each team must consist of 2 members only.

Based on the performance in the qualifying rounds and the elimination rounds, 6 teams shall take part in the Regional Level Final competition, on the same day. The top 3 teams shall thereafter be invited to participate in the National Finals at New Delhi. Prizes worth Rs.50,000, which include the 1st prize worth Rs.15,000, the 1st runner-up prize worth Rs.10,000, and the 2nd runner-up prize worth Rs.6000, and the 4th, 5th, and 6th runner-up prizes worth Rs.2000, to be awarded on the same same day. In addition, special prizes and mementos or souvenirs will be given to members of the audience, for the audience round.

Travelling expenses, and boarding & lodging, for participants in the National Finals would be organized by NTPC. The details with respect to dates, venue, and rules and regulations for the Finals will be intimated to selected teams, at a later date.

All engineering and business management students are eligible for participation in the quiz, and can register at the venue 1 hour before the commencement of the quiz.
