We're sure you'll remember a lot of things you always wanted to, and many others that you strived hard to forget, if you so much as breathe the air at this event.
The 2nd National Memory Championship Of India 2010 will be held on 31st October, at Hotel Fortune Select Manohar, Begumpet. The event is being conducted by Squadron Leader Jayasimha, chairman of National Memory Council of India.
A maximum of 150 participants will be allowed to take part in the the championship. This is meant to be a platform for Indian participants to practise and prepare for the World Memory Championship 2010 to be held in China from 1st to 6th December 2010.
It is a single day championship, consisting of 10 events. Contestants are to take part in all the 10 events in order to qualify for the Championship award. The following are the 10 events:
5 Minute Binary
15 Minute Numbers
5 Minute Numbers
5 Minute Words
5 Minute Historic Dates
5 Minute Names and Faces
15 Minute Abstract Images
Spoken Numbers (2 Trials: 100 and 200 Digits)
10 Minute Cards (As many packs as you like)
Speed Cards (2 Trials)
Phil Chambers, Chief Arbiter, World Memory Sports Council, will be arbitering the Championship. The winner is declared on the basis of maximum points scored by the contestants after all the 10 memorizing events have been completed. Contestants will be ranked depending on their performances.
The winner will get the National Memory Championship Trophy 2010, and the 1st runner-up and the 2nd runner-up will get a trophy each. Medals will be awarded to contestants who finish between the 4th and 10th places in the points list, and to all the toppers who score the highest points in each of the 10 memorizing events. A Certificate Of Participation will be awarded to all the contestants.
