Swara Bhava Lahari is organising a musical nite of both old and new melodies, on 3rd October, at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. Y R Sastry and Voleti Sai Shivani will be participating in this music nite.
On this occasion, Swara Bhava Lahari will be awarding the Bala Gandharva award and title to Voleti Sai Shivani. Sai Shivani is a 13-year-old budding singer who has highly impressed the music fraternity with her raw talent. She can sing classical, light and cine music with equal ease. After making her debut on 26th August, 2007, she has impressed everyone with her voice, and has now become one of the most sought after singers in Telugu. She is also good in Bharatanatyam dance.
The chief guest for the evening is Ghantasala Savithri, wife of legendary singer late Ghantasala. The other guests for the evening are cine music director Koti, light music director Muralikrishna, President of Ghantasala Gana Sabha Dr. K V Rao, and music director T Chalapathi Rao.
Swara Bhava Lahari was started in December 2003 by Y R Sastry. He is an ardent lover of old film music, and organises old musical nites every month at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. A self-taught singer, Sastry won the Ghantasala Subbaraman Award last year.
