Musical Nite By Suswara: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR MUSICAL NITE BY SUSWARA

Suswara Arts Academy is organising a musical nite of old songs based on folk music, on 17th July, at Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika, the mini hall of Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha in Chikkadpally. The coinciding with the Bonalu festivities means that folk songs, especially the ones sung in old movies by singers like Susheela, Janaki, Jikki and Leela, will feature. Amateur singers K Radha, Jaishree, Mangalampally Swarna and Mangalampally Hari will participate in this musical nite.

Suswara Arts Academy was started in 2005 by Mangalampally Swarna. Swarna is a classical and light music artiste, who learnt Carnatic vocal from late Susarla Sivaram. She was considered a child prodigy in those days, starting her music lessons at a young age of only 5. She is a B-grade artiste of the AIR. Due to her fondness for music, she established Suswara Arts Academy. She organises musical nites regularly with amateur artistes.
