Most of us grew up listening to his songs. Actually, that should be present tense - we continuously do. Here, then, is a chance to grow up some more.
The Srutilaya Arts Academy is organising a musical nite at Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha on 1st June, at 6:30pm. The program has been titled Ghantasala Aradhana, in which D A Mitra, Aamani and group will be singing about 30 songs of Ghantasala from both old and contemporary Telugu movies.
On this occasion, D A Mitra will be conferred upon, the Gaana Kokila Award by Srutilaya Arts Academy. The chief guest for today is Padmasri and Gnanpeeth awardee Dr C Narayana Reddy. Rao Balasaraswati Devi, Kota Srinivas Rao, Gundu Hanumantha Rao and Venu Madhav are the other guests from the Telugu tinsel world.
