Director Leila's mother wit exposed!
Mother is the story of Amir, who loves and respects his mother beyond anything else. Amir has a quarrel with his teacher and classmates while trying to prove the real value of his mother. His mother is blind, but she is also very clever and kind-hearted. Amir is convinced that a mother loves her child from the bottom of her heart, and her love is both rational and intuitive.
Director Leila Mirhadi started working as a teacher in primary schools, then she did some research for the Ministry of Education. In 1981, she started her cinematic activities at the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children & Young Adults. She made her first film 'The Morning Is Poem', in 1981.
The Mother has won several awards, including:
Golden Butterfly for the Best Short Film - Isfahan International Film Festival.
Golden Cairo for the Best Short Film - Cairo Film Festival.
Children's Jury Prize - Cairo Film Festival
