Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Government of Andhra Pradesh, in collaboration with Natya Tarangini Raja and Radha Reddy Institute of Kuchipudi Dance, is presenting Parampara Series 2011: Shreyasi - International Dance Festival from 16th to 20th February at the Shilpakala Vedika in Madhapur and Global Peace Auditorium, Gachibowli. The 5-day festival features 5 international dance groups from countries such as the USA, Spain, Turkey, Russia and India.
As part of the festival, the inaugural day will feature a Moscow Classical Ballet By N Kataskina and V Vasilyov from Russia.
The ballet company came into existence in 1966. It was established by the USSR Ministry of Culture. Natalia Kasatkina and Vladimir Vasilyov, the theatre's artistic directors, have been presenting new talent to the world for 3 decades. Ballets staged by them have contributed to the popular 'Classic Today' world theatre trend, a modern interpretation of classical performances. The Moscow Classical Ballet has performed in over 30 countries across 5 continents.
