The Department of Culture organizes a unique program highlighting the culture and heritage of the state, every month. It usually is a four-day event.
The first day will see traditional Telugu folk programs, Burra Katha and Ooggu Katha. The former will be performed by Hema Kumari and group, and the latter by Odelu. Each of them will last for an hour. On the 28th, "Chandalika", a 2-hour Kuchipudi dance ballet, will be performed by Dr Shobha Naidu.
A play based on the life of Shirdi Sai Baba, "Shirdi Sai Baba Natakam", will be staged by Shankari Kala Niketan, on the third day. The last day will have a Ghazal program by D Murali Krishna, and a Qawwali by Wajeeda Tarannum.
