The Shankarananda Kalakshetra is presenting a choreographed Bharatnatyam dance program called Mohana... Krishna Beckons. The program is based on various leelas of Krishna, and will be performed by Ananda Shankar Jayant and ensemble.
Ananda Shankar Jayant has been awarded the prestigious title of 'Kalaimamani', the highest state award given to performing artists by the Government of Tamil Nadu, for the year 2002. Ananda is the first dancer from Andhra Pradesh to receive this prestigious award.
