A 5-day-long music festival is being organised by the city-based Nada Tarangam Trust, from 14th to 18th September, at the Keyes High School. The event starts at 8am daily.
The festival kicks off with a vocal performance by Manda Sudha Rani from Visakhapatnam, accompanied by Venkata Krishna on the violin and K. Sadguru Charan on the mridangam, on Monday, the 14th of September.
On Tuesday, the 15th of September, audiences will enjoy a concert by Neyveli R Santhana Gopalan from Chennai, accompanied by R Dinakar, L V V Iyer and N Somayajulu on the violin, the mridangam and the ghatam, respectively. And before the start of the concert, violin maestro Annavarapu Ramaswamy will be felicitated, with the title Violin Ratna being conferred upon him.
September 16th, Wednesday, will be the turn of Vasantha Subbalakshmi of Hyderabad, with O Rajasekhar on the violin and Kapa Srinivasa Rao on the mridangam.
On Thursday, the 17th of September, the musical shower continues with a concert by popular violin maestros Ganesh and Kumaresh from Chennai, with V V Ramanamurthy accompanying them on the Mridangam.
The festival concludes on 18th September, with a concert by the Malladi Brothers - Sriram Prasad and Ravikumar - accompanied by Dwaram Satyanarayan Rao on the violin and M L N Raju on the mridangam.
