REVIEW FOR LAUNCH OF CHILDREN BOOK...

The author of a global hit about grass-eaters is going to be in town today to read from the work, and people are eagerly thronging. No, we are not talking about Paul Volcker - it's Margaret Donald.

Clootie and Dumpling are 2 Scottish cartoon bulls created by a Scottish author, Margaret Donald. And she is arriving from Scotland to Hyderabad for for inauguration of her book at 3 different places at Hyderabad, and for a book reading session. Orient Longman is handling the entire promotion, the book reading and the sales of this book.

Clootie and Dumpling are Highland bulls that live in a field in Kemnay, Aberdeenshire, and they lead an adventurous life doing stuff like flying over the moon in a rocket. Their exploits have been turned into a TV series for children, which is tipped to be an international hit and is a major success for Mallard Media, a screen-writing and animation company in Aberdeen. Clootie and Dumpling are currently being launched in Cannes also, at MIPTV, Europe's leading international television programme festival.

In this book, Clootie And Dumpling are poised to become Hollywood stars, and their exploits are narrated in a funny vein. The book reading session today will start at 11.30am in Akshara Book Store (Banjara Hills), and will be followed by a similar session at Saptaparini at 5.00pm. At 7.00pm there will be a session again, and the book launch will take place at British Library.

The chief guest of the evening will be Santa Rameshwar Rao, Principal, Vidyaranya School. The chief guest herself has scripted numerous books, and she is incidentally the Chairman for Orient Longman too. The book costs Rs. 145, and the complimentary copy of a CD will be given along with the book.
