Dr. Sailaja Desai is a disciple of Maddali Usha Gayatri. She has done her Ph D and Master of Performing Arts from the University Of Hyderabad, and was awarded a gold medal from the University for her Ph D. She will be performing Rukmini Pravesa Daruvu (welcoming of Rukmini by Lord Krishna), Lekha, Javali etc.
