Awaken the quizzer in you and come test your knowledge at the KQA Mega Whats 2009 that's being held on December 13 at the Vasavi Hall, Khairatabad, from 3pm to 5:30pm.
KQA Mega Whats 2009 is a quiz competition that is open to all. There is no specific syllabus for the quiz. The quiz will be held across 9 cities simultaneously - Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Goa, Thrissur, Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi and Kolkata.
The event is open to everyone, the registrations for which closed on December 6. There will be 2 categories of participants - Open category and School category (Standards 8 to 10), with each team comprising 4 or fewer members. Teams are required to report at the venue by 2:30pm.
Contesting teams need to answer a written quiz consisting of 6 sections and about 60 questions, inclusive of audios, videos and visuals. The answers and scores will be announced on the same day. Prizes will be given out for the Best School Team and the Best Open Team. There are other prizes, too, in the Open and School categories.
This will be followed by the announcement of the National Winner and the top 100 teams across the country, whose list will be published by 25th December.
The Karnataka Quiz Association (KQA) was founded in 1983 by the late Wing Commander G R Mulky and other quizzing enthusiasts in Bangalore. KQA is a non-profit association devoted to popularizing the mindsport among students and the general public in Bangalore and beyond.
