The Department Of Electrical & Electronics Engineering of the Bhoj Reddy Engineering College For Women is organising Jijnasa 2008, a national-level technical festival, on 14th & 15th March, at the college's campus in Saidabad. Jijnasa 2008 is aimed at promoting the habits of inquisitiveness and learning, and of thinking and creativity, among engineering students.
The event aims to provide an excellent opportunity to budding engineers who want to create their own identity in this competitive world by proving their technical excellence. Jijnasa presents a gamut of events like paper presentations, project expo, poster presentations, programming contest and many more "On the Spot" events, such as:
Exposition
A paper presentation contest by students in the following four topics:
Non Conventional Energy Sources
Distribution Automation And Control
HVDC and FACTS
Artificial Intelligence
Exhibition
A poster presentation contest. The topics are the same for both papers and posters.
Demonstration
Design and fabrication are what separate technology from science and engineers from scientists, and bring to our lives the practical form of theory. Demonstration is an event in which the working of innovative technical models developed by students is demonstrated.
Virtuose
When it comes to testing a design or a model, the surest way is to test it for real time conditions. But with the increasing complexity of systems and ever greater progress being made in the computer realm, there is now a softer option of simulating the model and testing its feasibility before going in for the hardware. This event tests the participant's agility in simulation & programming.
Technical Quiz
This event is an an occasion to test the breadth and depth of a participant's knowledge in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and how fast she can retrieve it from her memory.
